I PLAYED DERBY LAST NIGHT. LIKE, FOR REAL. OMG.

okay, enough caps. I was pumped for practice last night. I can always tell when it's been a few days between a good, hard skate because I start getting antsy. I was ready when 7pm finally rolled around. I got on my skates and started warming up. I felt stronger than the previous week, as soon as I started. My goal for last night was to just join the paceline, even if i could actually do the weaving, hip bumps, or hipwhips right away. I just wanted to see that I could keep up with them.

Not only did I keep up with them, I did all the drills! WHAT. I was so proud of myself, I was probably beaming like a fool.

Then came time for 3,2,1's which are mini-scrimmages. I had resigned myself to Leigh not letting me do them, and she didn't offer me a chance to do one. But then someone tossed a helmet panty my way and said "get in there." So I did.

I. killed. it.

DERBYDERBYDERBY!
